Cristiano Ronaldo just infused stream fuel into the red-hot gossipy tidbits that he’s moving over the lake when his agreement with Real Madrid terminates in 2018.

The New York Post reports that the Portuguese soccer star just dropped a cool $18.5 million on a flat in New York City’s Trump Tower. Before Ronaldo acquired it, the 2,500-square-foot cushion had a place with Alessandro Proto — a business accomplice of Donald Trump’s.

Bonnie Chajet of Warburg Realty took care of the posting.

Ronaldo’s new Trump Tower flat on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue doesn’t look anything like a cushion the a la mode footballer may purchase — yet.

The reason for the relatively modest apartment’s surprisingly high price is that it is an “L apartment” in Trump Tower. Read: It has uncompromising and panoramic views of Central Park.

Three bedrooms occupy the 2,500-square-foot apartment.
